The Magnolia is my oldest model. I made my first guitar to be the best instrument I could imagine – I called it the Magnolia, in reference to the neighborhood I was from. These guitars continue to inspire both myself and those who play them with their stately looks, comfortable feel, and velvety tone. The most ornate guitar I make, The Magnolia features all the binding, pearl inlay, and exciting woods of the great 18” archtops of years past. The sound is percussive yet mellow, round yet direct, full, yet sympathetic to the whims of the player – an 18” guitar that you play, instead of it playing you.
